Mold requires three ingredients for its survival they are:
1.
Moisture
2.
Warmth
3.
Food
Here in Missouri we have all of the above, and in large quantities. The amount of moisture required can be as little as the moisture in the air which we all know as humidity. Spores are active in the temperature range of 40 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. When temperatures go below or above this range the spores become dormant, they do not die. The food source is any organic substance stucco, cement block, wood, and sheetrock or gypsum board.
